Default Best Mods for a 2009 Dodge Ram

I tow a bass boat frequently and I am looking to enhance torque, mileage and horsepower both while towing and not towing. The truck is currently a stock 2009 ram 1500 5.7l Hemi V8. I was thinking of a Flowmaster exhaust and a K&N air intake, but wasn't sure if there was anything else I should do like a power programmer, or if there is a better starting point. Any advice would be great.

I would do flowmaster, to much drone. Get a Magnaflow... But as far as power, get a Diablo tuner and a intake will help some.

Depends what Flowmaster you get. Not all of them have horrible drone. The 70 series is pretty similar to the Magnaflow sound if that's what your looking for. But I agree with the rest.

Yes, I'd add a programmer. The DiabloSport Predator is a good one.

I like the Magnaflow sound but to each their own. Some of the hire numbered series Flowmasters are too bad at all.

The Best Mods in my opinion:

AFE Intake
ARH Headers with High Flow Cats
DiabloSport Predator Tuner
Corsa Cat-Back Exhaust System

I have had all of the above installed on my 2009 Dodge Ram with the exception of the Corsa Exhaust. I have decided to maintain the factory exhaust and add a supercharger instead.

Tuner, intake and exhaust is a great place to start. These together give you a more efficient engine, a little more power and if you're easy on the go pedal...some mileage increase! I am looking at Volant for my CAI, have a custom Mgnaflow exhaust, and will be buying a DSP soon.
