Mine don't move quick. My friend had a 05 2500 cummins, and his economy readings were instant. Push pedal and reading goes down, let off and it'd go up. Idk.

The economy meters are notorious for being inaccurate. If your tires are larger than stock and it's not calibrated, you will be off, speedometer as well. Occasionally, the gauge will be close to your hand calculated mileage oft times, it can vary from 3-7 mpg. Useless...really only thing it is good for is resetting it and seeing how you can get it. I once got it to 43 MPG downhill!

It is really wierd how these trucks are all different and they all like different things. A buddy of mine has on 06 3500 SRW quad cab short bed and his reads at about 18.5 and he's getting around 14-15mpg. My girlfriends 05 2500 QC long bed reads 24.5 and is pretty close to it. Both trucks are 6 speed manuals with leveling kits and 35's. Another friends 03 3500 DRW running a 175hp tune gets 21-22 with the lie-o-meter reading somewhere around 26 mpg.

Poriggity will become famous soon enough

The mpg calculator on the overhead is ALWAYS wrong.. It's not always reading higher than it should.. some read lower than they should. Mine reads constantly 2 mpg lower than I get when I hand calculate.
Don't trust the overhead.
2004.5 2500 Quad Cab LB 4x4 with stuff.
