Default Universal Garage Door Opener Problem

Another problem I've been having is the Universal Garage Door Opener. I'm able save the signal fine (training complete) and when I hit the button to open the door it says transmitting but, the door wont open. Again brought it to the dealership but, again they say it's working fine.(software reads okay) I know that the door openers is capable to get programed to dodge vehicles cause I also have a 04 Ram 2500 Hemi and it works.

Anyone help me out.
Thanks

Did you reprogram the door opener also? Have you tried eliminating ALL the remotes from the openers memory, then go back and reprogram them all in again? Maybe start with this truck first. Either the opener is overloaded and can only hold X amount of remotes, or it needs to be cleared and reprogrammed. Just a thought.

Tried clearing out all the codes in the garage receiver and started from the beginning. Still no dice thanks for the thought

You should east post what brand and model of opener you have to compare and see if that is the issue.

If it is like the 2006 version of the Homelink, there were 2 ways to program the garage door depending on manufacture if I remember right. But I did notice some garage door openers didn't like the Homelink. Example one at my old job worked well, at my friends house it did not. It had to do with the way the signal is transmitted though for the life of me I cant remember the specifics.

I had the same problem. I finally contacted Homelink and found out that if you have a Genie opener there are special instructions that aren't printed anywhere. The tech walked me through it over the phone and it works like a champ. Good luck.

BTW, you have to go here for them to call you: http://www.homelink.com/contact.php

Genie has good security on their openers, so that is not surprising at all that they would give you the hardest time.
