Default rim and tire size

Just wondering instead of changing rear end gears if i change rim size if it would help. I have a v10 torque monster but I dont pull anything wondering if i change rim size and tires if i could get more performance. I have no trouble eating tires or drifting a full size truck. just looking for a little performane tweak.

Changing the rim size won't do a thing for ya . Changing the overall tire size (diameter) will . Smaller diameter is like gearing the truck lower . Don't forget it , it will effect your speedometer calibration also . Speedo will be going faster than your actually traveling .

Well if he where to change rim size wouldnt it effect handling. Ive heard many people who put larger rims on there trucks/cars complaining about loss of handling.

So when you say gearing lower does that mean faster take off or slower take of ? With a good set of tires of course cause the stock truck weights close to 6000 pnds

Faster take off. Shorter tire will allow you to take off quicker.
