I would say it's the rear ABS Sensor as well... Cost me $31 from Autozone and less than 10 minutes under the truck. Odo, Speedo now work and ABS, Brake and CEL have turned off.

Just make sure you disconnect the battery, just in case.

I disconnected the battery while I was changing the oil and rear driveshaft u joint. Got everything back together and backed the truck out and up the road. It still didnt work. The scanner said Speed Sensor A fault. Is there more than one speed sensor? I pulled the one out of the rear diff and cleaned it up. It looked darn near brand new. Tested it with the ohm meter and it started at 21K ohms, and went up from there. But it never went out of limits (O.L.). Any ideas now?

There are two... A buddy replaced the front one so I'm not sure exactly where that one is.. But, the rear one will look new.. It doesn't do anything but sense a magnet.. However, it goes out often and when it does, the Odometer, speedometer quit working and the ABS and brake light stay on...

Is there anyway to test it to see if it is good or if it is the wiring leading up to it?

Not that I know of.. I just read up that I had all the symptoms, knew that I had the front one already replaced so just changed out the rear one.. Was only $30 and change and took less than 10 minutes to change.. Took longer to gather the tools and find my blanket to climb on than to remove/replace...

Well, not sure why, but all of a sudden my speedo started working on its own. I had bought the new sensor but not put it in, just had it sitting in my truck under the seat, and the speedometer started working again.
