Default Actuator

I have a 2004 SLT Ram 1500 and recently my rear right door makes a god awful sound when I lock or unlock the door. Almost sounds like a duck quacking. To my knowledge I believe the actuator is going out but from what I have read if it was broken it should not still be working via my key less remote. This problem started occurring after my truck was left in the street during a freeze for about a week.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how I can make this noise go away would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the actuator. They can still operate and make some of the most god-awful sounds you ever heard.

I am in college and on a tight budget so is there any possibly way that I can dampen the noise or would it just be easier to just buy a new actuator?
