Default 98 Ram 5.9L wont start

Ive got a 98 Ram 1500 with a 5.9L in it giving me troubles. Last week it basically stalled on me for like 1/2 a second but it only did it twice. Didnt think much of it due to the 210,000 miles. Drove it the whole next day and parked it for a day. The day i parked it was kind of rainy. Wouldnt start that night no matter how long i cranked it over. Well the day after that it started up no problems at all ran fine the whole day then. (i apologize for the confusing story).

Now im back to not starting again. Fuel pump whines and primes. Pulled a plug to check spark and theres plenty of spark. Plugs wires distributor cap and rotor are new within 6 months as well as the crank sensor. I can smell raw fuel on the plugs. Also have no CEL codes. Wondering what esle to look for. Im leaning towards the cam sensor or throttle position sensor. Just looking for what you guys think here any input will help...

Don't assume the fuel pressures ok . Hook up a guage and tell us what you have . I also see this is your first post . Make sure you stop by the newbie section and introduce yourself .

I did check the fuel pressure im at a constant 45 psi. Also checked the injector connections with my noid light to make sure they were getting pulses when cranking. Could the sensor in the distributor be bad causing fuel to be sent at the wrong times?

hmmmm need to look into that......

could also be, and it's a long shot, a stretched timing chain. the only reason i bring it up is we had a truck that was doing all kinds of funky things. crank right up, run good. shut it off. crank it back up and run like total a$$, shut off. crank it again, and it would kinda run, miss a bit, sputter a bit, maybe die. it was random as all get out. anyways, swapped out the timing chain and all was right with the world. that was kinda extreme, but hey, it's a final straw dealio

good luck gettin her running. i so hate those problems cause you can chase stuff for forever.
