Years ago I retired very early and no longer work .I was a Landscape Architect but with the 5 sons on their own I saw no real need to punch a time clock ...So my wife and I followed our obsession of cycling. Now I'm ride leader for 3 cycling clubs ,build & race bikes also coach & train my wife who is 13 times Florida Seniors State champion and holds 2 state records 10 and 40 kilometer .I'm posting for your puruse pictures from State Championships cycle types we use & events . We live on a paved 46 mile paved cycling trail and ride between 8,000 & 10,000 miles per year .

Glad you like the thread, ph3nom3non03! And thanks for sharing.

Roadie, sounds like you are living the good life. I'm only a few years away from retirement and already have my "second career" mapped out. But for now, I put in my time and continue to prepare for that day.

Well my new Friend I don't know how many times you plan on being in this world but I figure on just once so I'm making the most of it. I retired @ 50 and never looked back.. If I knew how easy retirement was I'd have done it much earlier..

LOL...I hear ya there, I'll retire at 54. I've talked to quite a few guys who are already retired, including my Dad, and they all say ya gotta have a plan for doing things after you "retire". My Dad never did really retire...he just went on to do other things. Sadly, he passed away this Spring but he had plenty of good years of living how he wanted!

As I said before I work with my daddy, he is retired now but he used to work for a big Italian company that produces gearboxes; after the retirement they proposed him to sell their product in our town. So we started our activity in 2002 , we sell gearboxes, but also electric motors, bearings, roller chains, pumps , etc... etc...

I've found some pics I took after we moved to the new site last year.
Nothing special , but here we go ... virtual tour to my world !

our showroom and customer reception:

me in my office !!! Very professional ... I've made some change to the office recently but it looks like more or less the same:

our warehouse and cargo area , the yellow one is my working ride ... i love to drive the forklift ! :

and my typical lunch and my desktop :

Normally I go out for lunch, but sometimes we have so much to work that I call for a pizza

EDIT: oh I forgot ... our mascot Teo during a coffè-break:
