Default Show me some CB/Ham Radio Installs

Hey all!

I plan on installing a CB and a HAM radio in my truck. The ham radio has a remote face to it, so its a little easier to install, but how do you have the CB mounted?

I'm looking for a clean install, thats easily returned to stock... I.E. no drilling holes in parts worth $100 or more :-)

I have an idea for a dual antenna mount with motorized folding for the bed. I go into garages a lot and don't want to get out every time or destroy my antenna.

I'd love to see pictures of your install!

(On a side note: I tried searching for this, but there seems to be no way to get the forum to search for 'cb')

learn to unscrew your antenna(s), there is really no 2nd option & still have a proper ground plain

make your own box to sit on your drive shaft hump to put your CB/ham radio in
i run a COUGH COUGH CB in my Ram
50 watts without a booster

True, the ground plain wont be perfect, but mounting it in the bed area causes that anyways.

I'm an electrical engineer by trade, so i'm pretty certain my grounding design will work well for what I need. There will be a metal plate the antenna's are mounted to, and when the are in the 'up' position will be locked and bonded to another plate on the truck.

I cant really see the screen if its mounted flat on the hump and my cup holders come out over the hump. But keep the good ideas coming.

What are you running in your truck? I was looking at a Magnum 257 HP. But i dont want to blast everyone away. Just have the ability to communicate when i need it.
