I do a lot of technical writing here at work. After years of reading incomplete/improper documentation, I vowed never to write crap. I would do write-ups the way I expect to read them.

Glad you like!

Take a look at post #37 of this thread made by Ken99, if you click on his pdf link he shows how to do it.

So, what is a good option for screws? The 3 needed screws to mount the unit in the bezel and in the dash. I read that the screws that mount the bezel to the dash are good to mount the back end of the controller. How about the two screws that mount the controller to the bezel? Can the same screw be used that mounts the bezel to the dash? Gonna install mine in a day or so and can scrounge up screws, but would be nice to have proper screws.

Hey Guy's
Planning on installing the ITBC later the summer. Had a quick look under the dash all I could see was the 1 grey plug. Never unbundled the wires to see if the smaller plug was there. If it isn't will do the install as posted in thread #37 by ken99. Has anyone had the EVIC flashed and the build code (XHCA) added after doing the install as described by ken99. i.e. tapping into the harness. Does the brake controller show up in the EVIC. Thank's

Finally managed to get hold of them.

They confirmed that all their phome lines went down yesterday morning. All back to normal now.

They could not have been more helpful.

Part should be here in a couple of days

Mine had two plugs so I didn't have to do any tapping into the harness, but yes the dealer had no problems adding the code and flashing the EVIC. All went perfect and the trailer shows up in the evic. Like stated before, its not necessary for the controller to function, but it is nice to know it is there.

Just found this write-up...great stuff...Thanks.

For those interested, the kit is out, the part number is 82212548 but the cost is $230!!! So it's much cheaper to just order the parts you need. The only thing the kit comes with extra is the 2 screws that hold the controller to the bezel.....

Great write up. I just got finished installing my brake control in my 2011 Ram 1500 Sport. It was very easy with the help of OP. The cost was $174 with the tax. Hardest part was pulling the two plugs over to the unit and getting my hands in there to plug them in.
