Hope somebody can help!!! I still have a hesitation issue.
In the last 2 weeks I have changed the speed sensors (due to speedo not working), I found a vacuum leak and fixed that and I removed the throttle body (cleaned and replaced gasket). I am still getting a hesitation and if anything it seems to be getting worse. I have no check engine lights on and it isn't acting like the transmission. Could the TPS be bad and not show a check engine?
It was the one going to the left side of the throttle body, if you are standing in front looking at the motor. It was cracked where it connects to a TEE, I just cut of a 1/2" of the hose and reconnected.
It happens when I am taking off and reach 40-50 kms or if I drop down to that speed. That's the only time. If I stomp it taking off it doesn't happen. I'm not getting any jerking or clunking....almost acts like it is sucking air or starving for fuel, but only at that speed.
a buddy of mine had that issue in his 98 ram but had a v10 it was the o2 sensor i dont remember wich one he said but when he took off it took a bit and when he got to about 40 and gave it a little more gas the truck would actually just start slowing down, it would do that all the way until the pedal was too the floor and when the pedal touched the floor it took off like you were actually floorin it. i know o2 sensors are ooober expensive so maybe just check for frayed wires or unplugged ones if that.
