Question Turtle Wax Black Box

I'm interested in getting this to try since it has so many great reviews. Anyone from the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) know where I can buy this from ? I've tried can tire and parts source with no luck.

I have seen it in a few local stores [by me that is]; however, I would never use the product myself. You're smearing tinted oils on your paint, which may cover some scratches but will not last long at all and is only providing short term protection.

So what would you recommend ? I have a couple of egg strikes that have put small circular marks into the clear coat. It's not that noticeable so i was thinking this black box product might do the trick .

I just pick up this product two weeks back from Overdrive automotive in Newmarket. They can maybe order more in? If you want I could give them a call on Monday and see. I work downtown Toronto and could meet up with you to save you a trip to Newmarket.

If you want to hide certain marks, but have to reapply the wax after every few washes you can definitely use the Black Box. If you were to use a polish like swirlx2.0 or scratchx2.0 you would be fixing rather than hiding. Then you can apply a longer lasting wax to your finish like nxt2.0, or another wax that will outlast the black box. That way you fix and protect, rather than hide the defects and have to constantly re-hide them.

Thanks for all the feedback I really appreciate it. I think since the black box includes a "black tinted pre-cleaner and conditioner that removes scratches, swirl marks and surface contaminants" I will give it a try first before more drastic measures. I will post some pics of the results.

I've used it, here is a before picture.

This is a pic about 2 weeks and about 4 washes after using the black box.

One thing I will tell you is the "Polisher" Does not really CLEAN very well. I used a buffer with the Polish and the wax. I feel as if I waisted my time. All the time I spent doing this, I could have spent a little more money got me some 3m Perfect-it and buffed my truck and then applied some swirl remover and then waxed it. It will definately make your truck shine, but as far as removing little scratches don't hold your breath. Especially if you are going to use a buffer, I would just go ahead and buy some 3m perfect it for darker vehicles, if they have an o'reillys where you live get it there. My whole family does or has done body work, and I've painted a bit myself. That is the products they use when they buff anything. The black box cost 18-20 bucks. The 3m Perfect-it is $40 a bottle..... You get what you pay for, remember that.
