Try living in Houston, TX. We are known to have the biggest mixing pot of the whole entire US. This means we have the largest mixe of different cultures and races.

Therefore, you have lots of stupid drivers, fast drivers, people who don't even have their licenses.

truckers in California are not suppose to go over 55, 2 axle vehicles can do 65 or 70 legally
now you take an empty semi truck or a light loaded one, they are going to try to make the speed limit for them. Now take a semi that has an 80,000 pound load, they can do 55 only on the flat lands, they come to a hill & may only be able to go up at 35 mph, because of the weight, that means that the same truck going down that same hill should only choose a gear that only lets them go 35 down hill, only touching the brakes occasionally.
then you have the semi trucks that i escort, 120,000 pounds is normal, taking most of 2 lanes is normal, 120 feet long is normal, being 15 feet tall is normal, we are hardly ever doing the speed limit & we go up & down hills at 15 miles per hour. we do try to let you pass when we can, but, some roads are not wide enough. I recall more than 1 load that i was with that was almost 20 feet wide & nobody could pass us for 40 or more miles, even though there were alternate roads for them to drive on, like down 1 road a mile, across another road a mile, then back up to the original road again & be well ahead of us, they follow us like ducklings & hit the horn, holler, flip us off, etc. It bothers us, not the horns, yelling, getting flipped the bird & all, BUT the fact that we can't let you pass unless your road was wider. WE can't leave the routing that is giving to us

Things that are irritating to a trucker & you too, are people pulling onto a highway that don't look at the highway to merge with traffic properly, making everyone else change lanes to avoid an accident
people that race up a highway ramp & merge properly & then slow down for some stupid reason, like texting, cell phone calling, changing radio stations, smoking weed, bull shooting with the others in the vehicle, OR worst of all, people from other countries that are afraid to go faster than a walking oxen or yak

I have to agree with Juli and GT on the big trucks as we do a lot of heavy hauls/permit loads as well and what the rest of the motoring public may be unaware of, like GT said, once a truck has their permit and they are given a route to travel, they cannot stray from that and like Juli said, we have a saying in our business, Good stuff - trucks bring it!

I don't know anyone who is not annoyed by people driving slowly in the passing lane, I flashed one not too long ago (hear ya on the road rage Dillon!), or passing by just to slow down ahead of you. Yes, those are times where I wish I had something on the front of my truck to move the offenders out of the way and a PA system to let them know why. Funny thing is, every state I've traveled, people there claim their state has the worst drivers, so where do I have to live to find all the good ones?

ya theyre probably trying to save fuel too but its still frustrating bcause its all two lane. Its not just the trucks either. cars do it too. sometimes i think the mexican tourists think the signs are in KPH instead of MPH lol. I dont know what posesses people to drive 40 in a seventy and not even pull over to let ppl pass.

Yup I will give yah that. It's like the 1 person scared because there is a sciff of snow on the road and slow down to 40 while the path is still clear and dry and the speed limit is 80! I just wanna throw it in 4 low and run em over LOL especially when I am running late for work, that is when they all seem to come out LOL.

But then 1 week later, they drive at 90 because if they didn't wreck at 40, what the heck, 90 should be fine too! LOL In all of Manitoba, Winnipeg is the worst for that....but then again, Winnipeg also pays a higher insurance rate then the rest of us do.
