Default 04 Ram 1500 tranny issues

Recently the transmission in my 04 Ram 1500 2wd has started jumping in and out of overdrive at highway speeds. Some days it is worse than others. Also, the ABS and the brake warning light on the dash stay on. I had the issue with the warning lights before along with the speedometer bouncing while sitting still. I changed the speed sensor in the rear end and it took care of it. I was told there was a speed sensor on the side of the transmission that could be causing this problem. My truck has 121,xxx miles on it. Anyone had similar problems with the overdrive? I can deal with the warning lights but the overdrive thing is killing my gas mileage.

I am interested in this answer as well. I have a 2002 1500 QC and mine won't shift down after pulling off the interstate pulling a trailer. My first try at a fix was to changed both tranny filters and about 5quarts of fluid and have been nervous ever since.

Yesterday I fired it up, drove a couple miles to the interstate and it would not shift into overdrive. I pulled over, put it in park, turned it off for 30 seconds before restarting and it drove fine the rest of the way home.

I have 245,000 miles on the original drivetrain.
