you can switch 3 times and its $75 everytime you switch....ive already switched 2 times and am going to wait and make sure that the next time i switch it will be for a significant amount of time, maybe to a portable that i can transfer everywhere.

when i bought my '09 Ram, i received the 1 year free service, it worked flawlessly
when the year was up, the operator that i talked to wanted to sell me a single year plan

i mentioned that with XM radio, i had always bought a 3 year plan, its much cheaper, she then said they Sirius had that also, i now have a 3 year plan
at that time i had not heard about a Lifetime Plan
my next truck i will be buying that plan

3 switches at $75 a switch
if you set it up a the contracts beginning, you can transfer the contract to another person for $50
there are some other limitations

I have two lifetime plans, one with XM and one with Sirius. No charge on either on for switching (I've done it once on each so far) They are the same company now so that was a little confusing for me at first, since they still treat them like seperate companies.

I had Sirius from 2009 dodge, I signed up for a two year plan, traded the 2009 off on a 2010. The 2010 ran out (one year free), cost me additional 40.00 just to transfer what was left paid from 2009 account to 2010 dodge. a little pricey.

I got my "lifetime" plan on my receiver in my garage when I upgraded it to a new one for the truck. I left it turned off for a couple months then decided to try it to see if it would work.

Going on 3 years now. I don't feel guilty at all because I still pay monthly for my radio in my truck, and I do not listen to both radios concurrently.. Basically its a per user license, not per seat.

but, yes, you can switch receivers.
You can definitely switch receivers, I've done it multiple times already and my lifetime plan is still intact. I have the original agreement of my lifetime plan and fortunately for me they added the $75 charge AFTER my contract, therefore, I've never paid anything to transfer in the past and won't be required to pay anything on this next transfer in July.
