Default Brakes super sensitive.

Model is a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 shortbed single cab. 5.9.. you barley step on the brakes and the front locks up.. very difficult to drive. any suggestions?

have you looked at the front brakes and checked their condition? had a customer's pickup do the same thing and it turned out.... their brakes were SHOT!!!! toast!!! Junk. they should have been replaced a long time ago. also, had a friend who didn't know anything about cars, had a plymouth that would do the same thing. he asked my opinion... DUDE... your brakes look like the grand canyon!! more grooves than a record!!! he soon got a lesson in vehicle maintenance.

just a thought. if you've already checked em and there looks to be no issues, then i'd say booster possibly too.

good luck!

u might wanna try adjusting ur rear drums also if its the back wheels r locking. also check for collapsed brake lines especially the rubber ones.
