Default After market wheels on a 2011 st ram

hi guys, was wondering if getting after market wheels would screw the truck
you know shocks/struts/ alignment, and bumpy.
a friend of mine has 24's on a taho and it drives terrible!! you can feel the bumps on the stering wheel, wondering if I install 22's on my ram am I going to srew it up?? my ride is a st and have stock wheels, I alreday tried wheel covers but they fall so wheel covers are not a really good option bur at the same time I feel kind of scared to install after market wheels, I heve seen and heard how those wheels can really screw up your ride, please advise me on this one.

thanks!

Aftermarket wheels themselves wont harm your truck, if you go larger than 20" rims you have less rubber around them and you will feel more of the bumps in the road, there is also more of a chance you will bend a rim and wear out your struts pre-maturely.
Another thing to watch for is the wheel width and back spacing so that your new meats aren't going to rub your fender or suspension parts.
I know here in NYC i will not go for less rubber anymore, on my old Mazda 6 I got bigger rims and lo profile tires and every rim ended up bent at some point!

Some of the roads here are worse than the back country roads when I go camping serious!

thanks guys! I think I will go with 20's that way I will have more cushion on the bumps, my truck has 17's and the ride is very smooth, I would not mind having 17's but 20's seem to me is not very different it's only 3' I will not lose much rubber.

The higher trim packages come standard with 20's, so that should be a good choice.

You should be good with 20"s. You will have a good bit of rubber still.
