Default Glove box lock

I just got the lock for the glovebox, PN 82211490, and found that I dont need a key... I can turn the cylinder with any key, screwdriver or even my fingernail! Does anyone know how to make this truely locking without going to a locksmith?

i had the same problem when I got mine. I finally found a dealer who knew what I was talking about and had the lock pinned within 5 minutes. Now it works with my truck ket that is in the fob. Now that you have the cylinder in the handle can you get it out? I thought it is held in by a piece of plastic that you cant get to to get the cylinder back out?

Thanks for the info.
I was able to get the cylinder out. There is a metal tab that you have to push in (it is in front of where the locking pins would go) while you turn the cylinder past where it would normally be locked.
