I'll be one of those guys to disagree. It may not be a huge difference but definitely noticeable. When i put my Airaid into my ram i noticed certain hills that had that extra bit of power that my truck didn't need to gear down where it used to before. Not to mention a slight fuel economy change. In all honesty though.... i just love the sound.
As far as warranty goes your intake will have no ill effects on your warranty unless your engine gets dusted do to improper installation. BASICALLY if your intake works properly and all air is coming in through a proper filter, you shouldn't have an issue.
