A Smarty is nice for power, but until you get a new transmission, keep it on the lower settings. An edge Juice w/Attitude is a nice package witch includes gauges, or a Smarty Jr. will keep you from getting to carried away....and if you're like most, the bug will bite you and you will want more power. But I also agree, keep it stock for now and get the feel of it at least until you can shop around and find the best prices and all your options. Just my opinion of course.

Still over towing capacity? Yup. Technically so are 80% of 5th wheels over 37'. If the industry really policed these things, many 5'ers would not be sold unless people had 5500 series, or medium-duty equivalents.

Gauges are a must--Boost, EGT and if you have an auto you'll need a trans temp gauge. If you have an auto and you are thinking about beefing up your trans you might look at Goerend Trans. They are bulletproof and their service is unmatched. Edge makes a couple different programmers you can look at. Banks makes good stuff but is usually more expensive than anyone else. If you keep under an additional 90-100hp your stock trans and turbo should be ok. Anything over that you should be prepared to start spending a bunch of money.
