Default Driver's Side Windows Drops For No Reason

This has only happened a few times, once my wife has told me about, and the other time, I actually witnessed it. My Driver's side window will drop about 1/2 Inch occasionally when I lock the doors on my truck for no reason. The truck is under warranty it's brand new, and I am wondering if this is something I should have looked at and fixed or if this has happened to anyone else.

Also I am registered on the Dodge Owner's website, and it says that I have a recall for an actuator, has anyone else recieved this recall?

What's the recall number, K-17? If so, it's the defrost actuator for the HVAC.

I know if it's a recall that the work is free, is this something I should worry about getting done right away? I am taking a 1200 mile trip back to Maine in December.

It hasn't happened since so I consider it taken care of haha, I am going to take it in Next week anyway so I might just have the shop decide what's going on.

remember that if you hit your lock button on key fob 2X (or unlock, cant remember) and hold it down, it will roll your windows down. could be that messing up?? as for recall, i'd get it done just in case, esp if your driving far soon in the cold! only took a short time and mine had to be replaced.

I have had my OEM remote start/keyfob open windows by itself, sometimes they went down an inch or so after I locked the truck, then I have also found them down over 1/2 way to almost full. It seems to be only the front windows, not the rears. Also my truck has started by itself.

I'm lucky that I have quite a few witnesses that have testified and will "testify" again to Dodge for me.

Dodge had it for 2 weeks at one time and could not make it happen, so they say.

I literally found the module for the remote start with the help of a mechanic friend of mine, and found some of the connectors a bit loose. Including one common/ground wire. We tightened them up by manipulating the connectors a bit{Squeezed them} and I have not seen it happen since. It has only been 2 weeks but I'll post back if it still does it.

Biggest problem is you can get into my truck if it happens steal my stuff. If you know how to silence the horn alarm without a keyfob you will never know until you come back.

Make sure it is documented with Dodge and it is also on your receipts. Get receipts.

Lucky for me I have a Lifetime Bumper to Bumper Warranty on the truck from Dodge, not an aftermarket company.

If it happens again I am asking them to replace the whole remote start/lock electrical system. I have been in to them 5 times for it.

I see this same issue on a lot of our vehicles... pushing the unlock twice, and holding it.. rolls down the windows until you release it.
Here's what I figure... Aftermarket starters usually have a push and hold sequence for unlocking/starting etc... and it has trained people to push and hold... then.. you go and do this with your new Ram Fob, and Tada!! rolled down windows..

even if it's in your pocket... or the kids play with it... of you set something down on it... be extra special with the fob and be aware of the buttons and if it continues to do it... then go make an issue of it.
