If you're seeing a true 6500 shift point, you probably have a programmer installed. Stock limiter is set around 5700-5800.. Would not matter if you're in tow/haul mode or not.

you'd change your tune if you felt what part throttle shift point changes felt like with tuners..not just wot stuff but responsiveness at normal driving as well... but like the other has said, you might be tuned already if your shifting at 6500 rpms..

i used to hate the way my truck shifted, but once i got the lift and 37s installed, i drive it in towhaul weither im loaded down or empty and it shifts 1000 times better in tow haul. The transmission doesnt slowly fall down into another gear in tow haul. I was going to get a programmer just for that reason but now im cool. Just wish i could program it to stay in tow haul mode everytime i restart the truck!!!
