Default I hate seatbelts!

I'm breaking the law and I don't care. Is there any way to safely disable the no seat belt chime. Other then making the radio louder.

I've been trying for years. Haven't tried on my new dodge but I know all the old dodges there isn't any way too. As someone who has 6 seat belt tickets costing $200+ each I've tried all avenues.

Believe you can find the instructions in the owner's manual. I turned mine off a few months back so it wouldn't annoy me when I'm tooling around state parks, etc. where you don't really need a seat belt.

1) Plug seatbelt in.
2) Turn key to the on position, engine off. Wait for seatbelt light to go off,
3) Undo and redo the seatbelt 3 times, leaving it buckled the last time.
4) Turn the key off and you should hear a chime indicating that you disabled the chime.

You should be set. This worked on my 2007 Ram, but I believe it works on the newer ones as well..

Though i would always recommend to buckle up, not for the law, but for safety..

Drive safe!

Looks like mbehlok has you covered. Here is the excerpt from the 2011 owners manual -

Quote:
.....
1. With all doors closed and the ignition switch in any
position except ON/RUN or START, buckle the driver’s
seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position and
wait for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver’s seat belt at least three
times within 60 seconds, ending with the seat belt
buckled.
NOTE: Watch for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn
on while the seat belt retracts and turn off while rebuckling
the seat belt.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. A
single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.
BeltAlert can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.
.....

you guys are the best! When on the roads I don't mind wearing my seat belt. The problems lies at work. I am a state inspector and my truck is my office and have been known to make several stops either on a carnival midway (state fair) or as stated before at state parks, and fishing on our eroding state beaches. The sound like my ex was and is just too much to bear THANKS!

Default Easy One Step Solution!!!

Run the seatbelt BEHIND the seat and hook it up.

In fact if a cop sneaks up behind you, it will look like you have it hooked up.

Can't beat a deal like that.
