Default Air Conditioner Removal

I have a 1985 Dodge D250 318 V8, and I am wondering if it is possible to remove all of the air conditioner parts and then reroute the belts. I dont ever plan on fixing the air, so why not remove it...

If it can be done, how?, and what kinda mods will be needed?

Should be able to be done, just make sure you dont evacuate the refrigerant into the air, if your reported it's i think a 10,000 dollar fine. But yes you can, on my truck it tells me how to route the belt with air and without air.

If the vehicle is that old, chances are, the coolant may have already escaped into the atmosphere via natural permeation. Has the AC recently put out cold or mild cool air out the vents? If not, then it's likely an empty coolant loop. Thus, no $10K fine. You can hook up a PSI meter to the low pressure port to see if anything is in there.
