I have to try real hard to get 17mpg with my truck. They sell them here stating they will get 28mpg. What a crock. I really think they should get a knuckle rapping for it. When I bought mine I told the salesman where I would be driving and how fast i drive. He said "Oh, you'll get 23mpg easy with that truck". Well that was a load of crap. I have 15000kms on mine now and the best mpg I got so far was 18.5mpg on a trip where I drove 90km/hr the whole tank.

I am so sick of false advertisements. I'm taking mine back and telling them to figure out why I cannot get 28 mpg. :-) Should be fun.

Dodge only advertised it would get 20 tops. With almost 400 HP under the hood you should be happy to get anywhere near 20 MPG. Anyways I have an CAI, exhaust, and tuner and it maybe added 1 MPG total. Mods will never pay for themselves in gas mileage increase. The best way to get better mileage is your driving style. I am all about saving money but if your worried about MPG's then I hear the Prius gets pretty good mileage

I put a K & N on my 09' Ram 5.7 Hemi with 3.55 rear end about two weeks ago and filled the tank up and headed out. I tried keeping it around 50 to 55 mph for about 20 miles and the most I had it up to was 23.1 mpg but then it started falling off for some reason so I then pulled in to get something to eat and started back out driving the final two hours of the trip a little faster between 65 and 70 mph and mpg dropped back down to 20mpg, which I was able to get on many trips before the K & N, but overall I think it has improved somewhat, just not a huge amount.
