My neighbor has had the undercover one on his last truck and his new one. He really seems to like them... If I were to get one I'm not sure I would like it not matching my truck

Yeah I thought about picking one up and sanding and prep it to paint. Just seems like a lot of work

bought a low profile steel top cover fits flat on bed bought it for my 96 standerd bed dodge in 96 , traded the 96 for a 09 standerd bed took the cover off the 96 put it on the 09 . my 96 was white and my 09 is black , had the top painted black came out realy great , one thing wrong was 1 inch to long for the 09 wouldent fit the long way on the 09 so had it cut back 1 inch works fine now . cost 600.00 in 96 now cost 1500. so lucked out saveing the old one .

I put the undercover classic on my black 09' Ram and it looks pretty good as is...at least in my opinion, but they do have a new model called the se that is smooth not textured like the classic and it is made to be painted.

Yep, they also have an SE which has the same texture/color as the Classic.

Here's the SE-Smooth, WAY more utility than a fiberglass cover:
