Default 2002 Dodge Heater trouble

I have a 2002 Dodge 3500 4X4 with the Cummins engine. Heres my problem. When I turn on the vent control it and have the tempture selected to cool it will blow cool air. This works fijne until I applie the brakes, then it starts blowing hot air. I can turn the tempture selector knob but this has no effect. I can the the system off and back on and it will blow the selected tempture until it apply the brakes then its hot air again. Does anyone have any suggestions?
