Default bleeding brakes and no air or fluid!

So I recently had to replace 2 brake lines up front. First please excuse my lack of knowing the technical terms. This is a 98 dodge ram sport 1500 and the two brake lines that I replaced were the ones that come up off the frame rail on the drivers side right in line with the steering wheel. They go in to two different units the one that has the pressure switch with the light and then another pressure unit behind that. After replacing the lines and resetting the pressure switch I go to bleed the brakes and I have no air or fluid coming from the back but get good air free fluid from the front. Then I take the lines and switch them around and then get fluid from the rear and no air or fluid from the front. I check for fluid at the fittings in the two units and they both were good. What could be my problem? I'm stumped. My brakes are strong and nothing changes with the truck running or not.

i confused... there is no fluid coming from the front bleeders?
make sure your reservoir stays full while bleeding, also a helper is a good idea too..

Well first off I have a helper so thats not the issue. Second there is no fluid coming from the rear. I switched the lines in the front thinking that I might have put them on opposite and then I was getting fluid from the rear and not the back bleeders
