haha. yeah I thought you were asking what I was asking and was confused b/c you listed 3.92 gears in your sig.

But still, these thruck don't do that well in high winds. It's kinda like driving a brick around. Then tow an even taller brick and I would say that the drag coefficient isn't exactly that great. lol.

Nice rig!
Looks very similar to mine.

I had the same experience when I went to Florida in March.
The wind was crazy during my 1st night of travel thru NY and PA,
but the truck was great compare to my Grand Cherokee.
It just felt more secure, even though we were getting rocked quite a bit.
But at that point, I don't care what you drive, you will get tossed around a bit.
The important part is to keep the shinny side up and on the road

Once the wind died down, the rest of the trip was great! Felt rock solid.

Glad it worked out in the end. I had 2100 lbs of hardwood in the bed of my Laramie, handled it fine. Squatted her out a little bit, but powerwise it was fine. Soon I'll be towing a 4300 lb boat to and from the lake. I'll put up pics soon.

My guess is the wind has been as bad in OH as its been here in central PA. It was up to nearly 60mph the other day. Cap+Trailer must have made it a blast to drive through.

Wind can be a nasty thing... last week end we did a 6 hour drive each way to a show with our 3 horse fifth wheel trailer bucked 30mph head/cross winds on the way there at about 8mpg... only 15 mph winds on the way back and got our "normal" 10 to 12 mpg,
