I have a 2003 1500 4x4 Quad cab w/ 5.7L Hemi. I recall that I used to get 13/14 mpg around town and 15/17 highway driving. Now I average 12/13 whether I drive around town or go on a road trip- It's been this way for the past 2/ 2-1/2 yrs. Some changes I have made are to add Flowmaster dual exhaust, Cold Air induction system and I went from LT285/70R17 OWL AT's to LT285/70R17 MudTerrain tires. Also my engine light came on and I checked the code's -2 had shown up (442 & 456). I have already replaced my gas cap.

My 2008 1500 Quad Cab (Big Horn Edition) gets about 17 mpg in the city. I haven't had to take it out on the highway yet. Maybe when it gets warm enough to go fishing I'll give yall an update.

yea my blue ram had the 5.9, but this one feels like it has wayyy more power. I dunno, i have changed the filter out and the exhaust, slightly larger tires, and leveling kit. It seems like my mileage has gotten worse. oh my truck doesnt have mds either (thank god), so i know that doesnt help eh?

For everyone with lifts and larger tires.....Make sure that you are adding back in the difference in tire diameter, or your hand calcs will be off.
