I agree with charlieb. Start with the trans in neutral. When first put into gear, it is normal for the drivers side of the engine to raise from the torque.....but not to much, and it should not make any noise when doing this. Applying a small amount of throttle will increase the torque, which will exaggerate this engine rise a bit.

Also look for items around the exhaust manifold that could be rubbing, as well as suspension components in the area of the motor mount.

Good Luck.

correct and correct. only when in gear and either rocking the truck or jumping on the board. If you grab the front drive shaft and shake it you can hear it a little as for the rear drive shaft i would assume too. aiming towards mounts? what do I look for while checking mounts?

It could be a loose thru-bolt on the front mount(s), or the restriction pads....or the mount itself. They use a type of rubber as an isolator/cushion, and this can deteriorate and cause squeaking. After checking the thru-bolt of integrity, you could spray a water/dish soap mix on the mount to temporarily lubricate it for the purpose of determining whether or not it's squeaking. The mounts can be replaced with the engine in place, but you will have to lift it up about 2-3" to clear the bracket on the frame. If you discover it's the mount and do decide to replace them, do one at a time to minimize the clearance issues from lifting the engine.

Also, check the mount at the rear of the transmission. Check for loose bolts.
