Rainhater1, can you perhaps post a pic of where you decided to mount the P2?

As for the prodigy.... I can see many shin bashing events (think peter griffin in family guy) in the future if I were to mount it within an arm's reach of my driver's seat slung under the dash... I'm not even sure the slope of the dash conforms with the installation level requirements of the P2... Perhaps I should RTFM.
Yeah a few if your seat is too far forward.

The original red display prodigy can be mounted up to 70 degrees off horizontal, the blue display P2 can be mounted at any angle, even upside down, so long as it is in line with the longitudingal axis of the truck.

Original (red screen) Prodigy mounting:

Prodigy P2 (blue screen) mounting:

I put mine here: superb access to unit for on the fly control and emergency access, at the expense of a few knee strikes...

I am 6'2" and I don't bash my shin. I have a manual seat, but it still has room, maybe 2-3 clicks I could move it back. Like Tmerritt said, you can mount it any way vertical, as long as the horizontal is level. I opted to put it over to the right of the steering wheel, because if I put it where he has his, I would bang it every time I got in or out of the truck.

Yeah... I'm 5' 6" and I keep the seat pretty forward :-) Being short has its advantages... or not

Sorry I have been on a trip this is like the other post later on. out of the way and have never hit it. I use the slip in mount as I move it back and forth between the coach and the truck. no screws, just unplug the wires and move it.

I had a Prodigy P2 in my 2006 Avalanche. Smoothest brake controller ever. I now have the factory brake controller in my RAM and it is not as good as the Prodigy was.

I have a 2010 Ram 2500 Laramie Diesel with integrated brake controller. Cannot make it work with brake peddle - will work trailer brakes with slide on controller fine. Brakes in trailer are Electric Over Hydraulic-- anyone else having issue with Electric Over hyraulic ?

I am pretty sure that the ITBC from the factory will not work with the Electric over Hydraulic, only electromagnetic. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but that is what I was told.

I installed a Tekonsha P3, works with elec or Hyd, I chose to place it under my dash all the way over on the left side just touching the foot well trim....I made it fit and look nice by triming the bottom of my emergency brake release handle, to just clear it when pulled....It took quite a bit of time and triming with a dremel, but looks good.....You just have to train yourself to operate the emrgency brake release by just pulling on it's right side, where it isn't trimed...all works great......
