Default Spark Plugs

I understand that the newer Hemi's have 2 spark plugs per cylinder for a total of 16 plugs. I have driven V8's since the 60's and have never had one with 16 spark plugs. Can someone educate me a little on the reason for the 16 plugs, how often they should be changed and how difficult the job is? Thanks in advance.

The dual spark plugs is to get a better and more efficent burn of the fuel charge. It helps reduce detonation and pinging.

They are supposed to be changed at 30K miles...all 16 at once. Not too hard of a job!

I've also heard to stick with the standard champion copper plugs. This is from some dodge techs and many on the forum. The price isn't bad either only 2.50 a piece.

that's it right there and as also stated stick with the standard Champions copper. As long as your changing them every 30,000 your good to go.
