Ive been thinking about an Airaide CAI but my biggest concern is that when I change my air filter in my facotry box the box itself is covered in crap, slush from all the melting snow. With the filter being exposed on all the CAI's (excluding the Volont) would all this slush end up in my engine?

There is a rubber seal that goes around the opening of the Airraid which seals it to the underside of the hood when closed. You'll be good, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have had the Airaide through two winters on my 09 and the filter is almost perfectly clean and the inside of the box is very clean. I interpret this as it is sealed well and nothing is splashing up in there so I don't think you need to worry about that much.

looks great. Made my decision on which CAI to get that much easier.

When I had my car people would say that TB spacer did nothing but dyno test showed 3-6hp increase but the best thing was throttle response was greatly improved.

I saw that airaid has multiple prices for their intakes. Is there different versions of the intake? I have seen MXP, MIT, etc. Which is the one that utlizes the stock intake vent? Also where is the cheapest you have found it, a good reliable vendor would be nice.

Great looking Intake, now just have to wait for the tuner to get the most out of it.

I got mine at www.autopartswarehouse.com and paid $383. I'm not sure about different versions, but I believe you can buy them with or without the intake tube. Obviously if you buy without the tube it's cheaper and you utilize the stock tube. I got the MXP with the tube. It's a nice intake...you will like it.
