I have a 3in on my 96. Install took one night but i did it in my shop at work so i could use the lift. I also bought the rear bumper brackets which make it look alot better and worth the money. Over all a real good quality lift for a good price.

True, forgot about that.

Just to add to it...If you were to put it back to stock after a suspension lift you'd be welding the crossmember brackets back on. I don't know about your welding skills, but I would not want to do it. I'd have it professionally done. On the other hand, as long as you retain the frame horns that you are cutting off for the body lift, just about anybody could weld them back on. I'd trust my 11 year old son to do it. Seriously. Here's a picture of him making some yard art.

putting the frame horns back on would be no big deal.

It's not hard. You can actually learn a lot watching Youtube videos. Just remember one thing, a good looking weld is not necessarily a good weld. I've made bumpers and racks, and all sorts of stuff. But suspension components are one thing that I won't weld on. I would hate to be on the freeway and find out the hard way that one of my beads did not penetrate properly.

It's important to me that my kids learn some sort of craft. That's a family thing with us. My grandfather had a PhD in mathamatics and was the chairman of the math department at UC Berkeley. He was also as good a plumber as any professional. My dad is a lawyer by trade but could earn a living as an electrician if he had to. I tought myself metal fabrication, and my kids have learned to use a torch and a MIG welder.

I know I'm off topic and on a rant here, but I believe that if more kids learned practical skills as well as academics, that our society would not settle for cheap crap from overseas, and we'd appreciate high quality things made here.
