Default Tire monitor System

Hey,

I just have a general question about the tire monitor system on my 2011 1200 SLT hemi 4X4...
It looks like on the guage that all tires are diffrent? could this be possible or is this the way it's spose to be? it was like this when i got it from the dealer.
I'm not 100% sure on how it works but i would think that all 4 numbers should read the same?

Thanks
Mark

It's nearly impossible (if not impossible) to fill each tire to exactly the same pressure. A couple psi difference is common.

I went to a large tire store, they sell TPMS also
they had a electronic device that they hold next to the valve stem when the key is turned on, the electronic signature reads out on the device

The TPMS lets your vehicle know when a tire is getting a bit softer than what is recommended
You still need to check the sticker on your drivers side door for the proper tire pressure & inflate accordingly at regular intervals

Three of mine are the same and one is different. When I start driving the tires diagonal to each other are the same, the others are different. In the manual it states that even with the system you need to check your tire pressure regularly. Basically its their disclaimer telling you not to rely on the system entirely.

My car came from the dealer with 50 PSI in all 4 tires. It seems high but I have not one anything about it as of yet. Is 50 to high? I have the good year tires if that makes a difference.

Yes 50 seems high. The sticker on the door jam will tell you how many PSI to run. I think 44 PSI is the max. I try to keep mine at 38PSI.

I think if you check on the inside of your door you should be about 35psi

35 PSI is what it says on the sticker, but I also run mine at 38-39 PSI, they seem to run better at that level.. just my 2 cents.

I have mine at 40. I think at 35 the warning indicator kicks on that they are low, IIRC.
