Default Anyone know where to buy grommets w/o holes?

I need two rubber plugs to fill two holes left in my Buell's intake from the breather hoses. The holes are 5/8" diameter. I'm looking for something basically like a grommet, but with no hole in the center. I've searched all over can't find anything. Any help appreciated

Check your parts store. Our O'Reilly's has a variety pack with these in it. I looked at them when I was routing wires for my CB, but they wouldn't fit the hole (1") that I was needing filled. I think they had some that were 1/2 and 5/8" in there.

I'll have to check if there's a napa near me, so far I've looked online, and at auto zone and advanced auto with no luck...

Default grommets???

Not quite grommets but,,,,go where they sell rubber stoppers for wine bottles. They adjust in diameter via a screw and are air tight.

Well I was hoping to get something flat like a grommet, so it looks clean and nice. I could use the long(about an inch or two long) tapered "stoppers" that lowes and home depot sell, but I don't really want to.

If you go to NAPA, check out the PCV hose/fittings/hardware section. Also, even though it's quite a search I had to do, here's a great link:

http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Gro...rial_s/103.htm

clipsandfasteners.com should be on everyone's list of website bookmarks.

You can use a large Christmas Tree rivet or door panel clip to plug those holes if ya want:

http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/For...r_p/a12565.htm

One other suggestion is a black bicycle tire patch.

The dealer will sell you a bag of five (5) door clips for $13...that same bag of clips, with 15 more clips in the bag, will cost $8 at clipsandfasteners.com. They have EVERYTHING!

Wow thanks for that site! Even if I don't find what I'm looking for there that will be of value in the future

Yer welcome. Take a look at the door clips. I'm not sure how large your grommet hole is but all you really want to do is seal the hole, right? Some of the tops of those clips are ginormous...
