I have the 430 and an iPod touch. Works when it wants only with the USB in the glove box. The one on the head unit wont recognize it. Error comes up 3 out of 4 times in the glove box. Using apple white cable.

I never could get my 3rd Gen iPod Touch to work with my 430 head unit. Updated the software and all that and still nothing. I finally gave up and put all of the music on the HDD. Took a while but works fine for me. I listen to sat radio most of the time anyway.

I have the same problem. I have only tried an iPhone 4 and iPad. Neither of them worked, they say device connected on the screen of the device but they are not recognized by the stereo. If anyone figures this out, it would be a big help.

i hear rumors of dealer updates but nothing yet. im skeptical. it is f'ing bs. i just bought my ram 2011 sport the other day. it woulda been so nice to use one cord and plug it right into the usb on the front and have it charge and play music. the glove box one gives me error, front doesn't even recognize it. bluetooth music streaming only works when phone is locked, elsewise its like its fast forwarding and skipping. so for now i have to use two cables to get it to work like it should. one connected to usb front to charge the iphone 4 and then a headphone to phone jack from phone to aux port and set iphones output to headphones. sounds great, works great but its an extra annoying cable.

i want an update from dealer! come on wtf.

Just as an FYI, this problem has existed since the 2011 models were released. Every month or two we heard rumors that there is update to fix it. It hasn't happened all year. I understand your frustration which is why I said screw you to Chrysler and Apple. I bought a Lockpick CHR550 and now I can use my ipod touch 4g like it should from the factory.

You can do a search of the forums to find my posts about the functionality and the install of the CHR550.

Hope this helps
