Autogeek.net has a lot of good info and they sell some decent kits. You could start here:

7424 Kit

It sounds like your paint might need a Yellow Cutting Pad pad to start and then work your way down but I would get an Orange to start. The Yellow is very aggressive and could do more damage than good in the wrong hands. The Orange will get the job done; it will take a little longer but it's a safer choice.

Autogeek.net also has a of of good how-to info on the site.

I just posted a new thread about the Porter Cable as well. Go to the Chemical Guys website and look around. My son got his Porter Cable there. It came in a great kit. Pads, Micro Fiber cloths and some compounds and polishes. He ordered P721,P40 & Wet Glaze....Did an awesome job. Look at how oxidized my hood was on my post. GOOD LUCK with the truck !

The last owner of my truck must have kept it washed, but must've never really put wax on it...After washing it, I found a lot of rust flakes and debris in the clear coat, I used a good claybar and it really took alot of it out, I'm going to be going back over it again with a new piece of clay next week one day. One down fall though is the fact that I have to take all the badges off of the doors, because you can see where it was clayed and where it wasn't, lol
