Default A/C mod & heater core bypass

I want to make the air conditioner in my 2011 ram colder. Living in an area with heat indexes at 100+ degrees in the summer months, the typical car or truck A/C just can't keep up. In a previous truck I had I by-passed the heater core with a vacuum actuated valve. The valve would open & closed when the a/c was turned on or off. In my last truck the mod dropped the air temp at the vents between 5-10 degrees. I'd like to install the same valve in my new truck, but I need to find out if the blending door that opens & closes when the a/c is set on normal or max is controlled by a vacuum actuator or an electric actuator. AND I will need to know which heat hose line flows towards the heater core.
