5.7L Camshaft Only Install Kit $180
Comes with 6.1 rods and springs. I think it comes with oem gaskets but it been a few years since i ordered this kit so i cant be sure.
You can contact Inertia if it comes in the kit or not.
If no gaskets then you can just get them from the dealership.

thanks for the info....the inertia set seems to be just what i need...

ok.....this will be hopefully the last question about the cam...lol....now i see that the comp xfi 260 is "MDS friendly" but since i dont have MDS.....should i look for something that isnt made to work with MDS....ive seen people talking about it here and there on the net but no one really gave a reason why except (why put an mds friendly cam in when you can put a non-mds cam in" does it really make a difference?

You'll want to match your torque converter to your cam, a higher stall torque converter basically gets your motor into its power band sooner. You can check your stall rpm by holding your brakes and slowly adding throttle until the engine stops gaining revs (before tires start spinning) that is a rough estimate of your current stall speed.

If your truck starts making good torque at 2800 rpms then a 2800 stall converter would be a good choice, this allows the engine to rev too 2800 before the converter stops slipping and engages fully.

the comp 260 came out before mds was produced so i think it's ok...the specs probably put it in good with mds as well. A few years back a 260 equipped qc was the quickest 1/4 mile hemi ram qc (na). Him and i were always 'battling' to see who was quicker..

hehe..thats awesome.....i feel pretty good about the choice i made....its talked about probably the most out of all the low end torque cams in all the forums i visited to research it.

im thinking im gonna wait on the torque converter for now to see what the truck feels like with the gears, cam and headers on it...if i need a little more umph...than ill throw the torque converter on.
