Default Tie Rod Assembly/Parts Needed

I need to replace all my Tie Rod components, Does anyone know where to find the best/Cheapest parts? I also need all new shocks but unsure of how to tell if there is a lift kit on this truck as everything looks factory (no blocks or body lift but sits higher than most 1500 ex-cabs i have seen around )

My tir rods are so sloppy I am all over the road and plan to get this all done on the 15th.

Also what are the biggest meatiest tires i can fit on my factory16" rims without any issues?

I have a 97 1500 4x4 5.9 360

Thanks eveyone for all your help on this issue.....

For your year truck I'd go to NAPA or any other auto parts store that carries the Moog line. They aren't the cheapest parts but they last.

Check to see if there isn't some metal "donuts" or rings sitting on top of your springs. That would be a level kit.

A 265/60 is a good size for your truck and wheels.

Thanks Maddog... Yes I know Moog is the best as I have gotten them before for my 88 GMC Jimmy, O'Riely's has MOOG and Rare Parts which range from $90's-$197 and the same parts at AutoZone in their brands run half of that... Both come with Limited lifetime warranty's. I want to stay cheap but I know it is some important components under alot of stress 100% of the time driving. I was hoping to find somewhere to buy the MOOG parts cheaper if possible because i am looking at $400-$600 for just the Inner Right
Inner Left
Outer Right
Outer Left
Track Bar
Steering Damper
Shocks

Then another $400-$1000 just for new shoes, geeze when does it end...lol

All good reasons to not scrimp on parts! You can go cheap on parts but then you will end up doing it again and spending more money before you would with the good stuff.

So true, Been there/Done that ! I just checked out NAPA and the track bars go for as much as $300+ Hope theres some gold in those...lol Have anyone heard of the RARE PARTS brand parts? They are damn near doubled/trippled in price to MOOG parts.

Agreed on Moog. Sometimes cheaper isn't always better lol, but I've not had a problem with their parts on other vehicles.
