Default Amp Installation - Need Ideas

OK everyone - I have an amp for my truck

So because things are tight, I was wanting to do a self install.
Any tips on cable routing from the Cab to the battery that doesn't involve power tools? I really don't want to Tap the fuse box - I would rather pull direct power from the battery and use the turn on lead from the key. Once I get power inside the Cab I am good to go.

Thanks!

The harness that passes through near the steering column, in the past I have punctured it with a screwdriver and ran the power wire through there. It is rubber, so no worry about the wire grounding out against the firewall. Just be careful about where you put the hole, as there is other wires going through that grommet as well. Depending on where you mount your amp, there is other rubber plugs on the floor you could pass it through...
