Default Navigation Maps Update

Hey All,
Took a trip in my 09' RAM this weekend. Used the Nav and all was good. There were only a couple of points we went that wasn't an exact location to the Nav system. I went to the www.navteq.com site to inquire on the update cost. Wow!!!
Does anyone know if there's an update you can get that's more economical?

Unfortunately navtec is only choice. If it makes you feel any better( doubt it) there price is in line wwith other other oem map updates. I dont see why it can't be priced similar to other portable devices but im sure it jas to do with. Chrysler getting there cut.

Cheaper to buy a low to mid-level portable and keep it updated. IMHO, OEM Nav is pretty much a waste of $$$ . (Didn't chose it, came with the truck.)
