Default Best way to get level and low?

So many will want to kick my rear for even wanting to do this to a 4X4 but I am really warming up to the look of those level and low rams. Being that I can't justify putting monster rims and tires on my truck for how I use it Id like to keep stock tire size but drop my ram down.

What is the best way to get my truck lowered so I have less gap between my tire and wheel well and get rid of the rake completely?

I've seen so many rams lifted in town I just want to do something different. Once lowered I can honestly see some matte black racing stripes wrap from bumper to bumper with matte black rims and painted red calipers.

Thoughts?

So what are your day to day uses of the truck? I've seen dropped 4X4's around and they look great.

Well, cheapest thing to level (not really lower) it would be cutting the rear coils to drop the rear 2". Others have done this on this forum (one guy is a 4x4 I think). There are also 2" rear drop kits from ottomax (chevykllr used this I think) and this would be the next least expensive (few hundred bucks). Then there are 4" rear/2" front drop kits (probably $500-$1000) out there as well that some have used on this forum. Beyond that I'm not really sure, but I haven't looked into that as I would never spend that much to change my suspension. I purchased an extra set of springs for my truck and will be cutting them to lower the rear of mine about 1-2". Swapping the rear springs is about a 30 minute to hour job once you've done it once. I plan on swapping back to my stock springs whenever I tow/haul (I am towing this friday so will swap back to my stockers after work friday). My stock springs have more payload.

So day to day I am a pavement princess. I am looking at a 31ft Travel Trailer which will have a GVWR of around 6900lbs (4315lbs Dry) with a 645lb Hitch weight. I do like the way they BellTech 2"/4" drop looks but I can't find a setup for a 4X4. I've already put a set of Timbrens on order to assist with the tow weight and help with the loss of 4" at the back.

Does anyone know if BellTech makes a Crew Cab 4X4 2/4 kit - their site hasn't helped much.

I think I have seen lowered 4th gen 4x4s on here but I can't remember who for the life of me. I will try to jog my memory and let you know what I find out...
