Default tuning

looking to put on an intake and was wondering if truck needs to be tuned for an intake? Probably a dumb question but my last vehicle required tuning if an intake was installed so I was just wondering.

Nope, it doesn't need a tune just for that. A tune will help when you get the intake and exhaust on the truck. The programmer will be able to take advantage of the increased flow.

One thing to remember...the truck will need a few ignition cycles and some time on the road in differing conditions (slow around town, a freeway cruise and a couple of WOT blasts) before it adapts to the increased intake flow.

Good luck with the mods!
