Fyi i just purchased a sweet 07 1500 dodge ram, well the mds does anoy me , but just so you know today i got beside of a 07 dodge ram with what looked to be a custom exhaust , i just wanted to ride beside him to hear the mds kick in or if i could. Well yes you could hear it kick in but everytime it would come out of it you would hear a small backfire or what i would just call a pop. If you look at how the mds works i just think its gas building up a little in those cyclinders and then ignites when valves open up.

I just got my exhaust done yesterday. I can't hear the little backfire anymore. lol

I still have it scheduled for sparkplug replacement though. Going to try to get them to disable mds and turn on the fogs with high beams while I have it in as well.

I still have to get a labor quote from them. They seemed kind of busy when I called. I know parts are going to be about $100 and I'm expecting at least 3 hours labor @ $60 an hour, anything more and I'll do it myself.

In fact, if I could find a step-by-step with pics I'd probably cancel the appointment and do it myself anyway.

Last thing I changed the plugs in was a Ford Aerostar van, and they are a tight mess to get to. I'm sure these have to be easier, but these newfangled engines intimidate me a little.

I think I found it, was hoping for one with pictures though. lol

While I was there I read about the c-clip in the lsd issue, that doesn't sound like something fun to have happen at 75mph
