Default Payload and hauling question

I have an 09 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab. We are looking at buying a pickup camper for camping and 4 wheeling. The payload limit is 1530. A lot of truck campers are more than that, in the 1800-1900 range. Should I cross those off my list and would that be hard on my truck? Also, can I tow 4 wheelers on a trailer with a heavy payload in the truck as well? Thanks in advance for the advice.

actually they advise against a full size camper in the 1500 model

this is a basic towing/hauling guide

i used to have a much better site bookmarked, it had all the vehicle specs, bed size, tire size, etc. You could find the haul weight & how big a trailer you could use with different applications

What about something like this http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ra...486421987.html ?

It is 1380 lbs. Is a person able to tow and haul at the same time. The trailer would only have one 800ish lb atv on it. I don't want to use the pickup camper if it isn't recommended though. They must make some for short box 1500s. Like the pop up style?
