Had some pictures here of my truck thinking this was a "post pics of your truck" thread. Sorry about that.

OKay. Very nice truck. Cant do all that here, not legal so I will have to just enjoy yours. Beautiful vintage, now I am jealous. Sat and read through this thread then CRASH, a camper? Where did that come from? Maybe a mod can move it to its own thread or something.

LOL! no problemo snowman.

I've got a few more new photo's to post, but mostly mod's for Go not so much for Show.

My $6 Ram Air mod

The flex tubing only goes up about 3/4 of the way up the fender, No physical connection to the air box itself.
I'm just re-directing the air source with a 90 elbow basically.

Stock fender opening for CAI is somewhat restricted by the frame and headlight bucket/support
Here's the view from the engine bay with the stock air box removed, and what it looks like from the front with the headlight removed:

This is the natural air path (red line) that all aftermarket CAI (including the stock box) currently use, the green oval marks the approximate direction of top of my flex tube.

Only major difference is the air is Forced in from the Front now,
instead of the TB having to suck in air on its own from below and behind the front bumpers dead air space.

With the flex tube directing air from the Front of the truck where air pressure is substantially higher, More speed = More Ram Air effect.
It's not perfect, but for $6 its a Winner! I will use my flex tube as a template for my fabricator to make a smooth aluminum tube next.

It's running extremely fast with this new mod and the Fastman TB!

I also had to recharge my filthy Airaid filter, it's been almost a year and it had a pretty good collection of dead bugs and dirt accumulating deep within the pleats.
I also added some extra pipe insulation ($5 from Lowes) to better seal the edges of my air box to the underside of the hood...

before pic's from last year after initial install shows the flimsy rubber seal and the Huge Airaid filter element

I installed the self adhesive pipe insulation right over top the rubber seal...worked like a charm.

De-bugged,de-greased, thoroughly rinsed clean and dried for 4 hours, ....then freshly oiled bright red again and allowed to dry overnight:

I can tell it's getting a better seal to the underside of the hood now from the compression marks on the pipe insulation...
I Cant wait to track test the new setup cuz she's running like a Scalded Dawg now!

I just may send my original TB to Dan since its useless to me now and get him to do the 85mm Full Bore Mod and larger butterfly valve
if the larger one doesn't make an improvement I guess I'll have to mod my Hemi until it does

All right, so I ordered both headlight and taillight covers from GT Styling. Am I understanding you right that they are actually a velcro on setup or what??? I really like them for driving around day to day but I may need to take them off if I do some distance trips where night driving and visibility may play a factor. I may just turn on my high beams with them too and see how that works for around town and set the adjustment a little low. Anyway, just wanted to find out if they are snap-on or velcro'd onto the light housings or what the mount was. I'm hoping its not the foam tape so i can take them off easily. If its foam tape, I am going to use a velcro stick on at least on the headlights and I can use a bit of acetone to take off residue if need be down the road. Thanks and SWEET ride!
