I just got back from Colorado towing my 98 jeep Tj on a 18' carhauler (approx. 6,500lbs) with all my gear and let me tell you I was very impressed. I went over mountain passes as fast as I wanted with no problems. I Towed from Texas to Col. 1000 miles around trip averaged 11 mpg and I drove it like I stole it, no slow poke here!
I traded my 05 5.9 diesel for the new 2011 hemi with 3.92 gears and it preformed well, now with all that said its not a diesel so trying to compare it to the 5.9 is not fare, but if anyone is in question about towing with this new hemi I'm here to tell you it will do the job for 1/2 ton towing.
I had 3000 miles on it and wanted to put it to the test and it passed!
Just wanted let everyone know that this new Hemi with the right gears is very impressive.
With all that said I'm the type of guy that is looking for more, so what is the best mods to get more Torque for better MPG?
